The Spirostik Blue is Geratherm Respiratory’s latest spirometry device and is a powerful diagnostic tool that can be used in a variety of settings, from hospitals to private clinics. The Spirostik Blue can be used to diagnose respiratory diseases, perform follow-up screenings and assess disease severity. It can also be used to support differential diagnosis in obstructive airway diseases such as asthma, COPD or emphysema, as well as restrictive diseases such as interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis and neuromuscular disorders.
High mobility
The Spirostik Blue uses the latest Bluetooth technology to communicate with any Bluetooth-enabled PC that has the powerful BLUE CHERRY® Respiratory Diagnostic Suite software installed. This allows for greater mobility and range within the examination room and even diagnosis outside the room. The device is powered by 2 AA batteries, making it a truly mobile solution for spirometry tests. It only consumes power when it is picked up for measurement; otherwise, the Spirostik Blue remains in standby mode, ensuring low energy consumption. In addition, the Spirostik Blue uses the Blueflow disposable flow sensor, which optimally protects both patients and users from cross-contamination.
Maximum patient safety
The Spirostik Blue Bluetooth spirometry system is the latest generation of spirometers from Geratherm Respiratory. It combines the proven hygiene concept of single-patient flow sensors with a powerful Bluetooth connection that enables increased mobility during spirometry tests. The disposable Blueflow flow sensor is changed for each patient to ensure maximum safety and minimize the risk of cross-contamination. The “snap-in handle” design allows the user to insert and remove the Blueflow sensor without directly touching it, creating a cleaner and safer environment for both the user and the patient. The measurement accuracy of the Blueflow flow sensor fully meets ATS/ERS specifications, which is ensured by precise monitoring and control during the manufacturing of the sensors.
Intelligent power management
The Spirostik Blue is supplied with two rechargeable AA batteries and a charger. The system is equipped with an LED indicator in the handle that shows the operating status: blue – connected; green – ready; yellow: low battery; red – empty battery. The Spirostik Blue is designed to power off after 45 seconds of inactivity and automatically turn back on when picked up for measurement. This efficient design allows continuous use throughout the day.
Battery operation together with wireless (Bluetooth) data transmission and the power of the BLUE CHERRY® platform for lung function diagnostics make the Spirostik Blue an excellent choice in any environment: The freedom of movement allows tests to be easily performed in multiple examination rooms or even on wards using a laptop or tablet. Once the Spirostik Blue and the PC are connected via Bluetooth, the device automatically establishes a connection within seconds and delivers stable and reliable results directly to the BLUE CHERRY® diagnostic platform.
Accuracy can be further improved with the additional USB-based Ambistik environmental module. The Ambistik continuously measures the ambient conditions of temperature, pressure and humidity and ensures the correct BTPS compensation at all times, so that the user no longer has to enter these values manually.

Spirostik Blue runs on the powerful BLUE CHERRY® diagnostic software platform and as such can be combined with other Geratherm Respiratory products to create a complete suite of cardiopulmonary diagnostic tests.
