The Geratherm Respiratory Ergostics represents the pinnacle of cardiopulmonary exercise diagnostics. This powerful CPET device is used in various areas, from simple fitness tests and sports medicine to respiratory differential diagnosis in cases of shortness of breath and the latest perioperative diagnostics. The heart of the device is the extremely lightweight Ergoflow flow sensor, which weighs less than 20 g and offers patients maximum comfort during the stress test.
The powerful BLUE CHERRY® diagnostic platform serves as the basis for all tests, analyses and reports and records the flow rates of O2 and CO2 throughout the entire test. Using these basic measurements, Ergostics under BLUE CHERRY® enables an uncomplicated determination of important ventilation and breathing parameters, such as maximum oxygen uptake (VO2max). It supports the user in determining the aerobic-anaerobic threshold values AT and RCP and simplifies data interpretation.
In addition, BLUE CHERRY® uses the collected data to create and adapt individual training plans for patients, especially for endurance and strength training in athletes. The Ergostik is complemented by the collection of spirometry data such as flow volume measurement and maximum voluntary ventilation (MVV).
The Ergostik is a powerful CPET (Cardio Pulmonary Exercise Testing) device for use on patients or athletes. Ergostik enables the diagnosis of heart, lung and cardiovascular diseases and is a powerful tool for performance diagnostics and preoperative assessment. Ergostik provides insight into the complex interactions between the lungs, heart, cardiovascular system and metabolism and offers a high degree of diagnostic value, making Ergostik one of the most powerful tools for diagnosing patients with unclear dyspnea.
Intelligent determination of threshold values
The powerful BLUE CHERRY® software suite for lung function diagnostics supports the calculation of the aerobic and anaerobic threshold values AT and RCP (according to Wasserman). An algorithm and a variety of stored models help to determine the individual threshold values precisely. These threshold values and defined cut-offs, such as the cut-off for oxygen uptake, are crucial prognostic and diagnostic indicators. They also enable the development of targeted training plans for each patient, both before and after medical interventions. Individual training plans can be adjusted and new plans created, which is particularly beneficial for athletes in training and enables the creation of several endurance and strength training programs for each individual.
Lightweight flow sensor
When developing the Ergostik, equipped with the lightweight and robust flow sensor Ergoflow, patient comfort was once again the focus. The face mask is lighter, which increases comfort for patients during the test procedure. Not only is the Ergoflow one of the lightest flow sensors on the market, it also has no moving parts or electronics. This makes it extremely robust and less susceptible to damage that often occurs with other flow devices.
Flexible screen displays
The performance of Ergostik and BLUE CHERRY® is underlined by the extensive reporting options of the software. Depending on the user, the recorded data can be displayed both on the screen and in printed form. It is possible to create various graphical, tabular and interval reports. The user has the freedom to choose from different data filtering and sorting options and to adjust axis labels and color schemes of the data in order to generate customized standard reports. BLUE CHERRY® also offers an individual text editing tool with which longer reports can be created and edited by selecting ready-made text blocks (predefi®).
