This breath-controlled nebulizer represents a significant advance in small volume nebulization technology as aerosol generation is controlled by the patient’s inspiratory flow. This brings a variety of benefits for both patients and physicians. Unlike continuous nebulizers, almost no medication is lost to the environment when inhaling with the AeroEclipse II BAN as aerosol therapy is only activated when the patient inhales through the mouthpiece. This ensures comprehensive protection for caregivers and patients and significantly reduces the amount of unnecessary nebulized medication compared to conventional, uncontrolled continuous nebulizers.
