BRONCHOPROVOCATION

AeroEclipse II BAN (Breath Actuated Nebulizer)

Better dosing consistency
Faster treatment
Less drug losses to the environment

Features and benefits of the AeroEclipse* II BAN:

  • Better dosing consistency because aerosol production only occurs during inhalation, thus less contamination of the environment and higher patient compliance.
  • Less drug losses to the environment for better healthcare and patient environment.
  • Faster treatment with efficient fine particles by maximizing the respirable dose generated.
  • Unique activation sensitivity from 15 l/m inspiratory suction through the AeroControl System Regulator.
  • Feedback to the patient through the green feedback button.

03 Description

The innovative and unique AeroEclipse II BAN offers you numerous advantages for bronchoprovocation. This breath-controlled nebulizer represents a significant advance in small volume nebulization technology as aerosol generation is controlled by the patient’s inspiratory flow. This brings a variety of benefits for both patients and physicians. Unlike continuous nebulizers, almost no medication is lost to the environment when inhaling with the AeroEclipse II BAN as aerosol therapy is only activated when the patient inhales through the mouthpiece. This ensures comprehensive protection for caregivers and patients and significantly reduces the amount of unnecessary nebulized medication compared to conventional, uncontrolled continuous nebulizers. The AeroEclipse II BAN is designed to produce optimal particle sizes, achieving a high proportion of respirable particles. More medication, faster inhalations and precise application lead to shorter treatment times, better patient outcomes and lower costs.

  • More precise threshold determination of PD20 according to the new ERS Guidelines 2017 (see ERS documents below)
  • More precise and consistent dose administration guaranteed regardless of the inhale/exhale ratio (see graphic in poster below)
  • Time-controlled nebulization only during inhalation, therefore independent of the patient.
  • Only requires a compressed air connection without additional equipment and no dosimeter compressors
  • No maintenance costs
  • More precise therapy for the patient
  • Tested in Swiss university hospitals and already in routine use
  • Low costs at CHF 14.90 per nebulizer kit
